From the Field

The beginning of the year is a favored time to look ahead and envision what you’d like to accomplish in the year ahead. Here at SOLD, we’re also taking a look at what goals we’d like to set for us as an organization. We asked Rachel Goble, our President, to share what she hopes to accomplish in 2015. Here’s what she said!

A big resolution for me is to publish a social impact assessment report (the research behind this is currently underway) to look at the effectiveness of our prevention programs as well as to inspire and encourage other anti-trafficking organizations to strengthen their prevention work while gaining insight into what works and what doesn’t through SOLD as a case study.

Additionally, we’re going to be launching a computer lab fundraiser in the near future.

Finally, I would love to create a scholarship level for Master’s Degree students that includes them participating in SOLD’s programs from a leadership role.

It looks like it will be a busy year ahead! Strengthening our program through evidence-based strategies, augmenting our current resources, and providing leadership development opportunities for our advanced students – I can’t wait to see the growth and results!

About The SOLD Project

The SOLD Project prevents child sexual exploitation and trafficking in Thailand, providing vulnerable Thai children and youth with scholarships and resources to help them break the cycle of poverty, avoid the dangers of child trafficking, and lead productive, independent lives.
