The SOLD Project's Students

The SOLD Project began after meeting the children of Northern Thailand. We learned their stories, built relationships with them, and realized we could help them stay in school, avoid exploitation, and lead independent, successful lives. To date, SOLD has provided scholarships for over 180 Thai students, and we continue to raise awareness and find more sponsors each day. Click the pictures below to read some of our students’ stories and learn more about the lives of those we serve.

Our Students

Freedom Resource Center

Located in rural Northern Thailand, SOLD’s Freedom Resource Center is at the heart of Bong PraeĀ — the rural village where many of our students live. Here, we offer local students the tutoring, mentorship, resources, and support they need to avoid exploitation.

Chiang Rai City Center

Located in the midst of a thriving city, SOLD’s Chiang Rai City Center expands our reach to thousands of students. Here SOLD offers mentorship, tutoring, computers and computer classes, language classes, a job placement program, and more. All of our programs are open to our scholarship students, but many of them are also open to the larger student population of Chiang Rai.
